Honestly, I don’t really care about your personal data, but the software used to create, as well as third-party content embedded on, this site (Plasterbrain.com) may collect certain information depending on how you use it.
The information below is subject to change without notice at any time, including…. now. 👀
Data collected by me, Plasterbrain
Basic, anonymous visitor metrics are collected using the GDPR-compliant plugin Statify. I lovingly store the ID, date, referring URL, and target page for each unique visit in my database. Data older than 30 days is deleted by a daily cron job. The purpose of collecting this data is to maintain my ego and understand which content is the most popular.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If approved, your comments, as well as their metadata, may be retained indefinitely. That’s how commenting on the internet works, genius.
Certain content on this site is available exclusively to members of my Patreon. Clicking the Patreon button under any restricted post will redirect you to Patreon’s website to log in and create a pledge if necessary.
Logging in with Patreon creates an account on Plasterbrain.com. Information from your Patreon account is used to create a profile, including as your username, user ID, first and last name, email address, and avatar. Your current and lifetime pledge amounts are also used to determine which content you have access to.
A temporary cookie, which contains no personal data, is saved when you log in to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It is discarded when you close your browser. Another cookie will be saved with your login information, which lasts two days, unless you check “Remember Me” when logging in, in which case the cookie will persist for two weeks. Logging out of this site will remove any associated login cookies.
Third-Party Data Collection
Social media buttons included at the bottom of each post are static links and do not transmit your information unless you click on them, at which time you are at the mercy of Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit, and Facebook’s privacy policies regarding share URLs.
If you have an account on this site, or have commented on one or more posts, you can request to have your account and personal data deleted, excluding data which must be kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You may also revoke access to your Patreon details via app settings. See also: What information do third-party apps receive about my Patreon account? Once your account data is removed, you will no longer be able to view Patreon-exclusive content on this website until you login with Patreon again.
