Graveyard
The stone wall before you reads: “Free Instrument Memorial.” Beneath it is carved a list of names, some with brief epithets, each belonging to a free instrument that disappeared from the net one day without a trace. It was no use putting them in the cemetery. They left nothing to bury.
In loving memory:
- Clara’s Vocal
- Faycel Sounds
- Hephaestus Sounds freebies (except for the Oboe and Hang which live on at LootAudio)
- Imagik Sound Chalumeau
- Impact Soundworks Trial Pack
- Northern Scoring Tools freebies (Solo Viola – Lite, Room Toms). Superseded by the aptly named Fracture Sounds.
- Some performance Samples freebies Edit: Violin has been resurrected! YIPEEE
- Quique Prieto’s Congas Acusticas
- Rhea Hosanny Legato Viola LITE. You still live in my Pulse account.
- Synth Magic freebies that just vanished ig?
Oh! Underneath the names, it says, “Shoutout to the Wayback Machine, who has blocked my number.”
Across from the memorial wall is a bulletin board with more names under the heading, “Instruments That Went Premium.” They are, like, total sellouts.
- Jon Griffin’s Marimbula, which now retails for an entire dollar. Ditto Blonde Claves. Capitalism must be stopped.
- Junk Spider Junk Guitar
